About this event
Día de los Muertos is a celebration of Latin American art and culture related to the Mexican holiday, Day of the Dead. The annual free event offers a variety of features, performances, and more in celebration of the memories of the deceased. The festival includes remarkable artist demos, over a DOZEN cultural performances and live music & entertainment, delicious food, and more.
•
Meet at 8:15 AM at the parking lot at the Northwest corner of W Goldwater Canyon Dr and N Remington Dr for an 8:30
AM departure. Riders will be assigned to vehicles before departure.
• With the light traffic on Sunday, we estimate about an hour's drive time to the Mesa Art Center
.
• The festival is held at the Art Center, which has level sidewalks and a paved parking lot.
•
Entrance to the festival is free. Participants should have money for
snacks and water. Street parking, if available is free; most of the nearby
parking lots will charge $10. Passengers should reimburse drivers $8.00 each for gas.
• There will be food trucks and vendors at the Art Center.
• Leave at 2:00 PM for the drive home.
• Return home at approximately 3:00 PM
• Bring with you: sunblock, a hat, and a camera.
